Preparation and data check for canvas prints
The production of canvas prints is comparatively complex and costly. To spare you (and us) any nasty surprises, our production team examines your digital photo prior to handing it over to the production process to ensure that it is suitable for canvas prints. For optimum printing results on canvas, the colour space of your photo and its resolution play a decisive role. Colour spaces for printing photos on canvas
Digital images to be printed on canvas can be provided in both RGB and CMYK colour models. Before entering the canvas printing process, all of the image data is converted into CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). As digital photos are provided in RGB as standard, we will of course accept your canvas print order in this colour model format. The conversion of the colours for canvas prints is carried out automatically using our automated processes. This means that you do not need to optimise or modify your photo for printing on canvas. Image resolution is the popular term for the size of the photo. It can either be specified as a rounded total figure (e.g. 4 megapixels) or broken down into the number of rows and columns (e.g. 1024 x 768 pixels).
